JHSF Participacoes S.A. is the recognized leader of Brazil’s high-end real estate sector. It has been going since 1972 as the creation of the brothers Fabio and Jose Roberto Auriemo. At that time it was known only as JHS. Several years later the brothers split the company, with Fabio renaming his JHSF Participacoes. Since this founding, it has proven itself to be a visionary and pioneer into previously unimagined territories. Today JHSF has an impressive presence in Sao Paulo, Salvador, Manaus, Punta del Este in Uruguay, and Miami and New York in the USA.
This massive company focuses on four key real estate sectors: Shopping centers, business, Fasano hotels and restaurants, and airports. JHSF is headed by chairman and CEO, Auriemo Neto. Neto’s path to the top has been inspiring. He is the son of JHSF’s founder and former president, Fabio Auriemo. His father first got him to working at the company in 1993 while Neto was a teenager. In 1997, he founded a service department in the company that managed a parking lot. That was just the beginning. In 1998, which was several years before JHSF officially began concentrating on the retail sector, Neto he helped found the company’s first venture into retail real estate, Parkbem. In 2003 Fabio stepped down from the top leadership, handing the reins over to Neto. He has since led JHSF to become one of the most respected real estate firms in the world. It was Neto who brought JHSF into retail real estate back in 2009. One of the greatest projects engineered by Neto in this sector of the market is the very high-end Cidade Jardim shopping mall in Sao Paulo shortly afterward. He is also extremely proud of engineering the founding of Brazil’s first R.E.D. Valentino stores. Over the course of its many years of existence, JHSF has amassed over 6 million square meters of real estate development. Neto has been a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization since 1999 and has twice served as an executive officer.
